Kids’ Beginning Crochet KC059

(All Levels — Ages 8 & up) Kids… come and learn to crochet with Jill. She will teach you two basic crochet stitches — chain and single crochet — while making a scarf for cooler weather! Once you have learned to crochet your scarf, you can use your new skills to crochet a bag.

Intro to Machine Sewing 1 CS030

(Level 1) Learn the basics of machine sewing... Start by learning the different parts of your sewing machine, how to thread your machine and wind your bobbin, and how to pin your material together to prepare it for sewing. Learn about seam allowance, how to sew straight lines, curved lines, and how to pivot your work. And last learn how to zig-zag on and off the edge of your fabric for a finished edge. Use your new skills to make a Kleenex holder or an eye glass holder or a small drawstring bag that you will be proud to use.

Crazy Patch Embroidery: October/November RE322

(Level 2) Each month a different set of stitches is taught that can be made into a “stitch page", added to your crazy patch, or a special project. October: By popular demand we are bringing back our yoyo page from 2018. Take advantage of our vintage yoyos to embellish this month’s page with playful ways to use buttons, beads and embroidery stitches of all kinds. November: Hold onto your hats... we have a boatload of new and exciting stitches using tools such as a pencil and double needle techniques. Join us and learn more expansive uses with embroidery threads. We will cover the woven 3D flower, pencil flower, two types of luscious leaves, a new lavender flower and a rosebud. Color Your World Knitted Fringed Scarf with Nadine CA064

(Level 2) The Color Your World scarf or shawl is a great project for beginners ready to take the next step of following simple written pattern instructions or for more advanced knitters who would like to learn the skill of blending yarns to create subtle shading. Combining stripes of one strand of a silk and mohair along with a shaded or multi-color wool blend yarn creates a lightweight yet durable knit material with a soft hand.

Advent Calendar from a Hard-Bound Book AE071

(All Levels) Come make an advent book from a recycled hard bound book and learn how to fold and decorate the 24 die-cut boxes with printed letters and dates, which can be filled with goodies for each day before Christmas. The front of each box will have the dates, 1-24, and the reverse side will have letters that create a surprise message once the advent is complete. You will complete your book with a Topper made from sheet music or glitter paper with a pre-printed message, “Joy at Christmas”.

Knit and Crochet with Sheilah: Focus on Two-Color Brioche Scarf CA024

(Level 2) Learn the unique brioche two-color cast on as well as fabulous brioche knitting techniques to make a scarf that is reversible and shows as a dominate color on the one side and the opposite color on the other side. This fairly basic brioche knitting project is totally unique and beautiful, and what great skills you’ll develop during class! OR... get help with any unfinished Sheilah project.

Angel Christmas Tree Ornaments from Recycled Books AE094

(All Levels) Come learn to make beautiful angel hanging decorations from recycled books. You will make two angels in the class to hang on your Christmas tree or to decorate a wreath. Instructional handouts and decorative items are included, and glitter will be provided to take home.

Upcycled and Embellished Clothing CC037

(All Levels) Whether it be a pair of pants, a flannel or even a skirt, watch how these garments transform as you add, alter and embellish. Learn how to use scraps of fabric, methods of layering, cutting away and raveling to create your own unique garment or purse! You can purchase a "stash kit" which will include a wide variety of fabrics from cottons to fancies, and laces and trims to further the inspiration of your soon-to-be original!

Hand Embroidered 2026 Christmas Card Collection RE076

In this class, have fun creating four unique hand embroidered and beaded Christmas cards featuring a cranberry snowflake and sparkly ornaments all decorated with beads and sequins. You will leave with all the knowledge and tools to create beautiful Christmas cards on your own.

Beaded Peyote Fringed Necklace HJ025

(All Levels) Have you been wanting to learn Peyote beading? If so, come learn the basic beading Peyote stitch to make a “peyote bead/bail.” This bail then has beaded fringe added and is strung on a memory wire necklace base. For an understated look, hang one fringed bail... For more “zing,’ hang three or five bails on the necklace wire. The bail size is your choice: make it short, make it long, make it bigger around. Your beaded fringe can be as long or short as you choose to make it. This is truly a uniquely creative piece for you to customize to your wishes.

Open Stitch with Mama Lohde QF015

(All Levels) Have you ever wanted to try wool applique and learn beautiful hand embroidery stitches? Join award-winning designer, teacher and author, Hanne (Mama) Lohde, for a fun and inspiring stitching experience. Beginner embroiderers can start with one of Hanne’s embroidered wool bunnies, gnomes or chicks, and experienced embroiderers can choose from two charming projects — the Blooming Needle Keeper or the Night Blooming Needle Keeper books. Embroiderers looking for a challenge may want to make one of Hanne’s quilts or wallhangings and even start her new quilt — Mama’s Garden. Discover the joy of creating with wool, thread, and needle. Throughout the class, Hanne will share her signature construction methods, demonstrate a variety of embroidery stitches, and teach thread management as well as dimensional embroidery techniques that bring flowers, leaves, and butterflies to life. Already working on a Mama Lohde project? You're welcome to join the class and receive guidance as you continue stitching and complete your work-in-progress.

Alcohol Ink Flowers AE039

(All Levels – Ages 10 & Up) Learn beginning techniques for creative play and minor control of inks on YUPO paper. Danna will teach spontaneous ink flow, brushwork and lifting. Projects includes ink behavior, use of different tools, free flow pouring, the introduction of alcohol and the completion of one 5" x 7" finished piece of art with mat to take home.

Alcohol Ink Jewelry HJ253

(All Levels – Ages 10 & up) Explore the vibrant and unpredictable nature of Alcohol Inks while making glass cabochon earrings and pendants with bezels. Techniques include dripping, pouring and moving inks with a brush. Students will be provided with enough materials to create five one-of-a-kind pieces of jewelry.

Knit and Crochet with Sheilah: Focus on Stash Busters CA065

(Level 2) Do you have lots of single skeins of yarn left over from past projects? Who doesn’t? If you are a knitter or crocheter, extra yarn just happens. This is the perfect class for you! Choose from many small, but remarkably useful, projects. Sheilah will bring lots of patterns and samples to choose from such as assorted hats and beanies, scarves, fingerless gloves, sockidoos, pan and bowl buffers, or coasters. Some are knit and some are crocheted. OR get help with any unfinished Sheilah project.

(All Levels) Start your holiday decorations early! Come learn to create this three-tiered pine tree from a recycled paperback book to make a lovely centerpiece for the holiday season. Bountiful Blooms Returns: Fabric Flowers with Chris Flynn CP019

(All Levels) Back by request, Bountiful Blooms blossoms again at the InnGathering! Create a garden of layered fabric flowers embellished with lace, trims, and vintage sparkle — perfect for journals, gifts, or wearable art. Several original samples from our first class nine years ago became part of Chris’s published book, beautifully edited by a fellow InnGathering participant. The class kit includes book, miscellaneous trims and laces, and updated patterns for new flowers.
